Service Description
Take a bus from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station on the JR Itsukaichi Line and get off at the Kamikawanori bus stop. After crossing the Minami-Akigawa Bridge and walking along the road for a while, you will see a guidepost for the hiking trail. After the initial steep climb, the road to Sengen Pass becomes a gentler climb. Sengen Pass is a beautiful forested pass with a rest house, benches, and information boards, making it a great place to rest. On the ridge path to Kumakurasan, larch trees stand out, showing off beautiful new greenery and vivid yellow leaves. The summit of Kumakurasan has a great view and benches. After climbing up and down the small path through the scrub forest and bamboo grass fields along the ridge, you will reach Mikuniyama. The summit of Mikuniyama borders Tokyo with Kanagawa and Yamanashi prefectures, and if you look back, you can see the Sasa Ridge that you have been walking on all the way to Mitousan, and beyond the Doshi mountain massif you can see Mt. Fuji and the direction of Mt. Shotosan that you will be walking on. East of Mikuniyama, there are detours to Shotosan, Kayamamaru, and Daigomaru, all of which are fully equipped with guideposts. The summit of Shotosan offers a great view, especially of Mt. Fuji. Once you pass Daigomaru, you'll see a belt of cedar trees all the way to Wada Pass. Take a break at the pass and head along the paved road to the Jinba Kogen Shita bus stop.
