6. Hiking in the shade of cedar trees

Service Description

Take a bus from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station on the JR Itsukaichi Line and get off at the Kamiyozawa bus stop. After walking along the city road for a while, you will arrive at Kakidairaenchi. If you continue along the mountain path beside the toilet, you will see the Yozawa Cave Lodge (closed), and if you climb the mountain path with stairs, you will reach the ridge. From here, pass Kuromo Rock and climb to the top of Hinodeyama. From the top of Hinodeyama, you can see the skyscrapers of Shinjuku on a clear day. From Hinodeyama, proceed to Mitakesan and worship at Mitake Shrine. After passing through the teahouse district and taking a break at the Mitake Visitor Center, go down the cedar-lined main approach to the cable car at Takimoto Station. Be careful of cars as you head to Yoshino Kaido. From there, walk along the sidewalk of the Tama River to reach Mitake Station on the JR Ome Line.
