Service Description

Take a bus from JR Ome Line Kawai Station and get off at Kamihinata bus stop. Walk along the Otanba River and you will soon reach Seito Bridge. Crossing the bridge is Hyakkenjaya, which is crowded with campers and people playing in the river in summer. Continue past Hyakkenjaya to Okuchaya, where the mountain climbing finally begins. Cross the Otanba River, pass through wasabi fields, and climb the mountainside of artificial forests of cedars and cypresses. The path is quite steep, and there are log stairs (about 500 steps) along the way. Climbing up the mountainside, you will reach the summit of Bounorei. The summit is open with a great view, making it a great place to have lunch. After an early lunch, continue along the ridge with Bounorei behind you, passing Gonziri Pass, Kuroyama, Iwatakeishiyama, and Sogakusan. The path from Bounorei to Iwatakeishiyama is through a mixed forest, known for its spring flowers and autumn leaves. The descent from Sogakusan is a somewhat steep slope through a grove of cedar trees towards Mitake Station. Please make reservations by email. *For details, please check the page on information based on the Specified Commercial Transactions Act.
